About Us
In 2005 local authorities were invited to submit bids for a share of the homeless innovation fund. The funding was to support local authorities in developing innovative ways to encourage private sector landlords to rent their properties to homeless or potentially homeless families.
There were nineteen successful bidders with projects stretching across England awarded funding. Southampton City Council in partnership with New Forest District Council, Eastleigh Borough Council, Test Valley Council, and the Southern Private Landlords Association were one of the successful bidders with their proposal of the ‘A Roof 4 All’ website and the Hampshire Landlords Accreditation Scheme.
A Roof 4 All is a property portal developed exclusively to help homeless or potentially homeless families’ access private rented accommodation. Landlords wishing to rent in this sector can advertise their properties on our website. To set up an account you must first register online.
All landlords wishing to advertise on this website must be quality assured and accredited or be able to confirm the date of their training course, and must be willing to rent their property to homeless or potentially homeless families.
The Hampshire Landlords Accreditation Scheme has been developed to improve standards across the sector, improve sustainability of tenancies and promote responsible letting.
We hope that the scheme will encourage high quality rented properties, assist in eliminating the worst housing conditions and provide landlords with a secure market position and advantage over other landlords.
